Product positioning drifts over time

Product positioning, even when done right, is prone to drift over time. Sales teams have a tendency of slowly modifying what they say to customers, and therefore the positioning can end up far from where it started.

It could be smart ([[literature/@dunford2019Obv!ously awesome: how to nail product positioning so customers get it, buy it, love it|@dunford2019Obv!ously awesome: how to nail product positioning so customers get it, buy it, love it]]) to retrain teams periodically, so that the core of the positioning message stays constant.
